What is this privacy policy for?

This Privacy Policy is for LondonSwissMedical Ltd, including the website www.LondonSwissMedical.com managed by LondonSwissMedical Ltd and governs the use of your information on this website and within LondonSwissMedical Ltd and the Hospitals where your care is delivered.

 

Your privacy is important to LondonSwissMedical and all the Staff who support your clinical care. We want your information to be protected when you use the website, visit the Hospitals where your care is provided and when we communicate with you and/or other healthcare providers - for example your General Practitioner.

If we ask for information from you, for instance if you email us with a question or to request an appointment, and it contains anything that can identify you, LondonSwissMedical will only use the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

What information do we collect about you and why?

LondonSwissMedical may collect the following information about its website users:

Information that does not identify you - this may include analytical information about your visit to the website, including you IP address, where you are, which browser type and version you are using, what you are using to visit the website and the operating system, how you have come to the website, how long you spend on each page, which links you click on and the path you take through the site. This information is important so LondonSwissMedical can design a website that works and which parts of the website work, or do not work, and how people move through it.

Information that does identify you - we may ask for your name, date of birth, contact number and email address in our online referral forms. We may ask for specific medical information but only to support you getting appropriate healthcare. If your medical information is passed on it will be either to another doctor who needs to assess your condition and/or our nursing or diagnostic team only to arrange the correct investigations and/ or care for you.  which you will be giving to us specifically to help consider your healthcare. Only the minimum information necessary to fulfil that need will be passed on.

Your personal information is used solely for the legitimate interest of considering or delivering personal healthcare to you and it will never be used for anything else or passed onto anyone not directly concerned with your healthcare. We will never share your information with any organisation for commercial purposes, marketing or market research.

Your information within the consultation - your medical details from personal consultations are confidential and will never be stored or passed through the website. These medical details form part of your clinical record at the Hospitals and/or Clinics where your care is delivered. Your Doctor may make an electronic set of notes, and will keep a copy of your correspondence and results, on a password protected, encrypted drive backed up to Apple iCloud, so that clinical queries can be dealt with even if your Doctor is away from the Hospital for the minimum time necessary. Your notes may be stored in a secure electronic medical record - Semble, with details of their information governance here .

 

Your accounting information - LondonSwissMedical will keep a copy of your name, date of birth, hospital number, insurance and payment status for accountancy purposes, on an encrypted, password protected hard drive, backed up to Apple iCloud.

Your insurer may ask LondonSwissMedical to communicate details of your consultation, including who you saw, date and place of consultation, invoices, and the minimum diagnostic, therapeutic and investigative information to allow settlement of your claims. If the Hospital or Clinic bills you on behalf of LondonSwissMedical or their Staff the Hospital will ask for your details separately and retain the minimum data necessary for accounting.

What are cookies and why do we use them?
